Comprehensive supervision. Servers (CPU, memory, disk, critical processes), services (web, email, databases, response times), network (availability, bandwidth), hardware (temperature, disks, redundant PSUs) and SSL certificates (expiry).
Intelligent alerts. Notifications by email, Telegram or SMS only when there really is a problem. No noise, no false alarms that end up being ignored.
Custom dashboards. Visual panels with the most relevant information for your business. The overall status visible at a glance in five seconds.
History and trend analysis. Long-term pattern detection: growing disk usage, performance loss, traffic growth. Expansions can be planned before they become emergencies.
External monitoring. Your website or public services watched from multiple locations. If they go down, you know immediately, even at weekends.

Which tool do you use and why?
It depends on size and complexity. For SMEs I use Checkmk for its balance between power and ease of management. For more technical environments, Prometheus+Grafana. All are open-source, with no recurring licence fees.
Where is the monitoring system hosted?
It can be hosted on your own infrastructure, on a dedicated VPS or in my infrastructure if you prefer a managed service. Data remains in Europe in all cases.
How are alerts received?
Configurable to your preference: email, Telegram, SMS or webhook to integrate with existing systems. Alerts can have severity levels and quiet hours.
Is the cost high?
Deployment is a one-off investment. Monthly maintenance is very modest because the tools are open-source and require little intervention once correctly configured.
